The Show...
What to say...
Well, it wasn't that bad. Infact, the only real problem was the lack of sticking to the books plots and descriptions, Ex:
The disk? Opening for
explanation of Tobias...and PLOT HOLES.
Tobias and Jake? Depictions were switched! Tobias was suppose to be short
and blond, Jake as tall and a brunette. Dern Canadiens, (who I love, of
course!)
Yeerks? (Or lil rubber slugs that lived in metal canisters)
Flashlights...nuff said.
~sigh~ Now, I dont want it to seem as if I completely hated the show, that's not true! In fact, I was of the many animorphans who watched it every Saturday. *blushes* And the two miniseries, they were pretty good. ("The capture" and "Changes"). The only things that bothered me was the way the show was made, and I understand the low budget, but they could have tried harder. Below is a list of episodes, and summaries.
Season 1 "My Name Is Jake" Part 1- The pilot, based on 'The invasion.' Basically, an alien (Elfangor) crashes on earth and gives the teens the power to morph. Sounds familliar, dont it? "My Name Is Jake" Part 2- The Animorphs begin esting thier powers becoming some of the animals in Cassie's Barn. Next, they use the powers to retrieve Elfangor's 'disk' from the crashsite. "the Underground" - The Animorphs suspect a youth group called "the Sharing" is not what it seems, so they investigate it and find out very interesting things. "On The Run" - The Animorphs further investugate "the Sharing" while also searching for Tobias, who is missing. *Ooh, the suspense builds* "Between Friends"- Finally, tobias returns...but different from when her left. *wonders what that could mean.* This episode is based on the visitor. "The Message"- Based loosely on the book of the same name, Cassie and Tobias are recieving strnage day/dreams form an unknown source. The Animorphs decide to investigate and meet up with *drumroll* Ax! "The Escape"- Turns out the yeerks have a weakness...maple flavored oatmael. This episode turned out to be one of the few that stuck pretty close to the book...minus the water balloons.
